Why visit the Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi?

Located a few steps from Piazza della Repubblica in Florence lies the Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi. Since its founding in 2006, it has focused all its efforts on organizing exhibitions, events, educational activities, and cultural programs. All this, inside one of the most beautiful palaces of the Italian Renaissance!

Throughout its history, this public-private foundation has presented more than 40 exhibitions, showcasing both ancient and contemporary art and exploring how the art world has changed over the centuries.

By booking your ticket to the Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi you'll be able to explore the different rooms of this space at your leisure. Depending on the date you visit the foundation, you'll find one exhibition or another, but the quality of the exhibitions is always more than guaranteed.

Temporary exhibitions calendar

The temporary exhibitions currently scheduled are:

  • Reaching for the stars (March 4 to June 18): More than 50 artists from around the world create a space for reflection on the evolution of art and its relationship with contemporary society. Works by Damien Hirst, Anish Kapoor, Sarah Lucas, Maurizio Cattelan, Cindy Sherman, Barbara Kruger, Pawel Althamer, and Shirin Neshat, among many others, are present in this exhibition.
  • Yan Pei-Ming (July 7 to September 3): Still life, landscapes, portraits, and historical paintings stand out among the canvases of Yan Pei-Ming's largest exhibition ever held in Italy. Born in Shanghai in 1960, the artist arrived in France in 1980, where he now lives and works combining Western and Eastern traditions.
