See the beautiful Italian city of Florence from a new perspective: sail down the Arno River on a traditional boat and admire the Ponte Vecchio from the water.

Florence: Arno River Boat Cruise

Da Vinci, Botticelli, Verrocchio, Raphael… All of these Renaissance artists, while rivals on many other occasions, agreed on one thing: you don't truly fall in love with Florence until you see its magnificent monuments reflected in the Arno River. See if its true for yourself! Meet up at 5:45 pm at 6 Piazza della Signoria and walk over to the nearby Uffizi docks ready for your romantic boat cruise down the Arno.

Sailing down the river on a traditional Tuscan boat, very similar to the iconic Venetian gondolas, you'll enjoy a unique perspective of Florence's beautiful riverside sights. Firstly, you'll cruise under the arches of the famous Ponte Vecchio. These days, it's a popular site for marriage proposals, but the Medieval bridge hasn't always had such a love-struck history... your English speaking guide will reveal the turbulent history of one of the city's most emblematic landmarks.

Continuing onwards down the Arno, you'll pass under the Ponte Trinità, where you'll see the elegant architecture of the Frescobaldi and Lanfredini Palazzos. Do you know who their former inhabitants were? Learn all about the intriguing Vasari Corridor and its use by Florence's nobility throughout history.

Your boat trip on the River Arno will come to an end back at the original departure dock at 6:45 pm.
