Trams in Florence

The construction of the lines began in 2005, and in February 2010 the inauguration of the Florence tram took place. In 2014, construction of the three currently active lines was completed.

From the point of view of a tourist, the tram is the least important transport option of the three on offer in the city, as none of its lines run through the city's historic centre. The tram currently has three active lines.

Thanks to the mode of transport, one plus is that you can avoid traffic jams better than by bus or by taxi, as it runs on its own lines.

Where to buy tickets

Tram tickets can be bought in the stations themselves, throughout the city.

Schedule and Frequency

Trams run through Florence from 5:30 am to midnight.
