The trip was great. We appreciate and acknowledge Kiara's excellent work; she was always very attentive to everyone and provided all the necessary information. Unfortunately, we had a bad day due to the weather, which is why we couldn't board the boat we had planned. Otherwise, the route was perfect. Thank you for everything, Kiara!

Take a day trip to Cinque Terre - a group of fishing villages on the Italian Riviera surrounded by hills and vineyards. One of the best day trips from Florence!

Day Trip Details

By booking this day trip to the Cinque Terre from Florence, you can visit this UNESCO-protected site easily and comfortably. The itinerary for this tour is very extensive, and we'll have to leave Florence early, but we promise you that it will be well worth it.

Tour Options

During the booking process, you can choose between different options. Please note that all options last approximately 12.5 hours. You can see the details of each option below.

Self-Guided Tour

If you want to explore the area at your own pace, we offer the option of booking the day trip to Cinque Terre from Florence independently. This way, you can visit this group of villages surrounded by hills and vineyards that seem suspended between the land and the sea in the order and manner you prefer. With this option, you'll travel to La Spezia or Levanto by bus and have the whole day to explore the Cinque Terre. Manarola, Riomaggiore, Vernazza and Monterosso await you!

Please note that this option does not include train transport between the different towns in the region. In this case, you'll be given the pickup point in La Spezia and the time you must be there at the end of the day to return to Florence. The tour ends at Piazzale Montelungo, next to Santa Maria Novella train station, in the late afternoon.

Tour with an Assistant + Train

In this option, we'll be waiting for you on the bus that departs from Florence to take you on a tour of the Cinque Terre. After a 2-hour drive, we'll arrive in La Spezia or Levanto, depending on availability, and from there we'll depart for the Cinque Terre.

The first stop will be Riomaggiore, where you'll have a little bit of free time before taking a train to Manarola, the oldest village in the Cinque Terre, whose economy is based on fishing and viticulture. Then, from Manarola, we'll take the train to Monterosso, where we'll stay for approximately 2 hours. This town is located in a small natural gulf and has the longest beaches in the region.

After that, we'll depart by boat to Vernazza, a beautiful fishing village built around an incredible natural harbour. We'll give you free time to explore its charming harbour.

Finally, we'll take a train from La Spezia or Levanto to where the coach will be waiting to take us back to Florence.

Tour with an Assistant, Train + Tasting

With this option, we'll follow the same route described above and, in addition, it includes a street food tasting in Monterosso, where you'll enjoy a focaccia and a sorbet.

Tour with an Assistant, Train + Lunch

If you would like to round off the tour with a delicious traditional Cinque Terre meal, this option is for you! In addition to having a tour assistant accompany you during the bus and train transfers, we'll stop in Monterosso for lunch

The menu includes seafood salad, pasta with pesto and dessert, accompanied by water or wine. If you prefer a vegetarian or gluten-free menu, please request this in the comments when booking and remind your tour assistant on the day of the tour.

Self-Guided Tour + Pisa

This option allows you to complete your self-guided tour of the Cinque Terre with a stop in Pisa. In this case, you'll travel by coach to Monterosso and Manarola, where you'll have free time to explore both towns. Afterwards, we'll meet up again to take you by bus to Pisa, where you'll once again have free time to explore the city at your leisure.

Please note that this option does not include the train between the different towns in the region. In this case, the bus attendant will tell you where to go to catch the bus back to Florence.

Self-Guided Tour + Train + Pisa

If you choose this option, we'll follow the itinerary described in the previous option. However, this option does include a guide and the train that connects the various villages of Cinque Terre. Perfect so you don't have to worry about a thing!
