
Florence City Center Gourmet Tour
Take a 1.5-hour walking-tour with a local guide through Florence’s city center and stop along the way to discover its typical dishes in some of the city’s gourmet food shops, taverns and markets.
Itinerary
Depart from Piazza della Signoria and, accompanied by an expert guide passionate about Tuscan cuisine, stroll through the winding streets of Florence, stopping several times along the way for food tastings in traditional establishments.
Stop in an ancient winery and try a local wine with delicious typical starters, followed by a walk to a renowned tavern, where you’ll sample an exquisite sandwich accompanied by a glass of dry red classic Chianti wine.
The next stop is in a long-established eatery, where you’ll devour tasty regional cold meats and cheese.
You’ll save the best for last and head to a gelateria to have a mouth-watering home-made ice cream and then finish the foodie tour with cantucci biscuits and vin santo, a sweet Tuscan dessert wine.
