Visit the Ferrari Factory Museum in Maranello followed by a tasting of some of Modena’s authentic balsamic vinegar and the region’s legendary Parmesan cheese on an original day-trip from Florence.
Your host will collect you at your hotel bright and early and you’ll depart on an air-conditioned coach towards Emilia Romagna. Home to Modena and Maranello, a village built exclusively for Ferrari.
The first stop will be the Ferrari Factory Museum, where you’ll learn about the company’s history and discover the lesser-known stories about the renowned “Cavallino Rampante”. Enjoy the roars of the engines, walk past the vintage Ferrari cars and admire the racing team’s many trophies. An ideal place for any car enthusiast.
In Maranello, you will have approximately 3 hours to see the cars being tested for their aerodynamic properties in the “Galleria del Vento” (Wind Tunnel), visit the souvenir shop or the factor at your own leisure. You can also drive a Ferrari or a Lamborghini (don’t forget your driver’s license).
After visiting the Ferrari Museum, you’ll be taken to a well-known “Acetaia”, where the best Modena balsamic vinegar is produced in wooden barrels. The tour will then finish with a surprising tasting.
For lunch, you will stop at a local restaurant to enjoy some of the best traditional products.
Next, on your way back to Florence, you will stop at a cheese factory where you will have the chance to see how the famous Parmigiano Reggiano cheese is produced, one of Italy’s "King of Cheeses". The tour will end with a delicious tasting of different types of Parmesan cheese.
You will then get back on the coach and arrive in Florence at approximately 7:30 pm.
The entrance to the Ferrari Museum is not be included in the total price of the activity, since many prefer to simply walk through the town, test drive and see the Ferrari factory. If you want to visit the Museum, it is €16 per adult, €14 per student and senior citizens and €5 for youth under 19 years old.
From the 1st November 2018, the excursion will begin at the Ferarri Museum, followed by free time in the FICO Eataly World, and free time in Bolonia to discover the city. Lunch is not be included, but entry to the Ferrari museum is.
